Just want to say a big "Thank you "for all of you who took the time to respond to my post!
I have to say it was a really good feeling that ppl actually cared. I'd like to make a comment about my latest try and error dish, which turned out to be quite nice for the 3rd time I made it. First 2 times the meal ended up in my compost bin,it was that bad.But I can only blame myself for it. I love growing my own vegetables and the lettuce I've used in the dish wasn't the one the recipe asked for. How hard can it be to cook lettuce soup? Unfortunately if you are not using butter lettuce it taste pretty bad. I made some changes to the recipe and added some garlic and ginger to it and to reduce the cooking time which was 15 minutes according to the recipe, I semi cooked the potatoes before added to the lettuce. This way the lettuce doesn't loose any nutritional value while cooking. Cooking time was reduced to 7 minutes only . I love altering recipes (love adding extra things to it, mainly garlic and chilly).Since I have the Thmix enjoy a delicious soup every day. And if someone is interested I tell how I dropped a dress size in 2 weeks(just ask me) .By the way since I've been cooking every day lost interest in junk food. I can walk in and out of shopping centres without even thinking of getting a burger. Usually I'm in hurry to get home and cook something I like very much or simply to try a new recipe. the other week woke up 5 in the morning could not go back to sleep so got up and cooked a Thai pumpkin soup (it was a winner at work). Happy cooking guys!!!!!!!!!! 4

A littlebit about myself:I am single, haven't been doing much cooking in the past 12 years. Simply wasn't motivated. It was easier to have take away after a hard days work and eat out on the weekends. As a result of having over processed food 7 days a week I became overly over weight. A friend of mine introduced me to thermomix by inviting me to a TM party. Seeing what it can do made me realise that I could change my life and maybe became slimmer and healthier again. Now, I 've had my thermomix close to a month and have used it every day! Looking forward each day to get home and cook something. The first two weeks dropped a dress size without "being on a diet". Ate as much I could each day simply because loved the meals I've made - i mean the thermomix made. Not trying to take credit for the wonderful meals it make. Have to admit decorated the ceiling since I have it, but I was warned about that..lol. Anyway, looking forward to chatting to you all!
Cheers,
