Hi All

Sorry I took so long to reply - been very busy with my thermomix!!

No I dont pass any local producers other than sheep & wheat farmers on my way to work!! I have been making strawberry jam and after much trial and tribulation decided to abandon the recipe in the thermomix book as I could not get the jam to set.
I went back to my own recipe all proportional 500g jam setting sugar to 500g strawberries and cook for 35 minutes on 100 then a further 5 minutes on veroma all speed 1 reverse. It works every time and the jam tastes delicious.
watch this space for more!!

Hi Vantage Paint, dont hesitate There are only my Husband and I, He has had surgery for bowel cancer and I am a diabetic type 2. The thermomix will be very helpful in producing food for elderly people - especially if their digestive system is compromised. We have not had it long enough to see the benefits yet but I had become so bored ith cooking that I had resorted to preparing the easiest things I could lay my hands on - especially takeaways!!
I have stopped buying commercial bread as making my own in the TMX is a piece of cake!!
It is also so time saving. Good luck and go to as many demos as you can, you might also try a cooking class if they have them in UK
