Pour the marzipan out onto a surface "floured" with icing sugar instead of flour, and knead the icing sugar into it until your mix is no longer sticky, but smooth and malleable. Make sure you have glycerine on your hands, or shortening. Hope it works out for you.

Does any one have recipes for gum paste for making cake decorations? Also for things like fondant and the like? If so, would love to know.

I made chicken in a honey mustard sauce with a white wine base, then followed up by making cheese and bacon scrolls for the kids lunches and some jam scrolls for hubby, but then ran out of my mixed berry jam I had made the other day, so now have some lovely strawberry jam cooking as we speak. How did I ever live without Thermie. 8) 8)

 :D I just cannot believe how much fun I am having - today I made more jam, hazelnut spread, bread rolls, strawberry icecream, and stock. I am just about beside myself with the cost-saving and health aspects of my Thermie! Not enough hours in the day, thank goodness I am on holidays.
