News about Thermomix / Re: Unbelieveable thermomix deal for $699. Is this legit?« on: April 05, 2012, 03:12:19 am »
I haven't read the whole thread, but parts have been really disappointing..
As a consultant, it makes me really angry that so many people get no support, after sales care & general assistance that is supposed to be part & parcel!! That's one of the things we promote - great after sales care If any of my customers thought that about me, I'd be gutted as I try very hard to stay in contact & offer as much support as I can. As for the deal, I was suss, but I'm skeptic by nature.. I don't know if it was dodgy or not, but it's the old "if it sounds too good to be true... scenario I reckon & it just didn't ring true for me.. Karen 3

Chit Chat / I've been a stranger..« on: November 16, 2011, 09:10:19 am »
I've missed this place. Haven't logged in for ages & can see I've missed a lot of goings-on.
The past few weeks I've been been busier than I can remember ever being. Last night was my 6th demo in a row!! That's a first for me & I'm so excited (but just quietly - a little bit exhausted at the same time!). My poor children (3 & 6 year olds) have been saying "are you out again Mum?! Ohhh not another demo!".. so that's it for this week, 'cause now I'm busy organising my husband's 40th at our house this weekend - for 50 people (20 of those are children under 9!! Aaarrrgghhh!! ) So anyway, I just wanted to pop in & see what's been happening & say Hi. Karen 6

Introduce Yourself / Re: Help me by a TMX« on: October 09, 2011, 04:33:12 am »
Hi jakodai,
"hijack" all you like There are 3 ways to get your hands on a Thermomix - 1) Full payment, or can make 3 payments over a couple of months, 2) Become a consultant & 3) Pay it off with a finance plan. The training is very good (IMO) for new consultants. You're guided well & it's very comprehensive. You will be looking at your own friends & family initially for demos but we also get "leads" that come through to head office from online enquiries. They're sent to a Group Leader who then onforwards them to consultants. You mentioned you love cooking but don't know anyone else who does. One of the things I've learnt as a consultant is you never know just who's going to buy a TMX!! I've been surprised time & time again Even on a personal note, I despised cooking. Hated it. But the reality was, I had to do it. Now, my family think someone else has taken over my body, as the person in the kitchen looks like me, but isn't acting like me!! I can't get enough of cooking now ... So, don't worry too much about "who" is going to buy - just think who do you know who loves cooking, hates cooking, has food intolerances, is into health, is time-poor etc.. The finance plan is another great option - you can choose 12 months or up to 48 months to pay if off! Figures based on 12 month plan are about $43 a week. The interest rate is 11.99% for 12 months, but that's built in to the $43/week.. Considering you'd probably saving that much each week by having a TMX in your kitchen, it works out pretty well. As I mentioned in another post, TMX offers "open days" for people who want to find out more about becoming a consultant. You just fill out a Prospective Consultant form, but it's not binding or anything. There's no obligation. Cheers, Karen 14
Chit Chat / Re: Why did you choose your forum name plus photos of our kitchens« on: October 08, 2011, 11:45:18 am »
Oh boy, 14 pages.. way too many to read in one sitting. That'll learn me to keep more up to date in future.
But, really loving hearing about your names & seeing pics!!! I feel like I know you all a lot better My forum name is pretty non-imaginative.. Just the first "few" letters of my surname (yep, it's pretty long ) I'm not too sure how to add a picture, but will give it a go... Karen 15
Chit Chat / Re: Household hints & tips to save money« on: October 08, 2011, 11:19:28 am »
This is a great thread about cost-saving tips.
I'm another who puts the face washer in the m/wave each night & uses white vinegar for just about everything... Essential oil in water spray bottle as air freshener too ... I'm getting some great other ideas, so thanks all! Can I share a story about my "diva cup"!? ... We were trying & trying to fall pregnant for about 3 years & towards the end of this journey I came across some info about the diva cup so, intrigued, I bought one. Then I had to wait for my period to arrive.. And I waited.. And waited.. But never got to use it - cause I was pregnant!! (thanks to IVF ) .. And now, I don't get periods anymore anyway, so it's still sitting at the back of the cupboard Off to read some more ideas now, Karen |
