Tries this the other night, and it is a cracker. I did not have basil, so I substituted 2 tbs of dried coriander. Worked well.

I also used rice instead of potatoes. The rice took the flavour of the stock and cheese mix, so it worked well. The only problem was that the stock dried out with this, so i suggest that you use 750 instead of 500Ml of water and see how it goes. You may need to add more, I will have to experiment.

Why not create a question that they need to answer such as "Who is the manufacturer of the Thermomix?"

That should weed out most of the spammers.

I found this mod that you can use in SMF that lets you create the questions

I have a problem with our new TM. the speed knob does not turn first time, even though the machine has beeped that it is closed.

Today I had to open and close it at least 10 times before I could turn the knob.

Does anyone else have this problem.

I already have several chosen from months of drooling over the forum.

I decided we needed to take the plunge after our latest arrival. (a little girl 4 weeks old) Hopefully it will make life happier for  DW.

What would you do to make this into, say, a chicken laksa? I have read the quick laksa recipe in the soups, but I would prefer to start from scratch and make it from the paste.

Hi,

Finally saved enough to get the TM, and waiting in quiet expectation for another 5-7 days.

I seem to be one of the minority at the moment, being a male (husband and father of 4), but have been reading this forum for quite a while now and cannot wait to get the machine and try out the recipes.
