Auds, we stayed at Rumi villa in September. We went with my brother and his family, so all up 4 adults and 5 chn. We went and had a look at the smaller villas (same group) down the gang a bit. We really liked it, as we had quite a big pool and a big grassed area for the kids to play on. They put up a temp fence which stopped the 2 x 2 yr olds getting into the pool. There were two bedrooms on one side of the pool, and two on the other, along with the kitchen and laundry. The only downside was that my DS 6 yr old was very scared and didn't want to sleep in a room that didn't access our room internally. So I ended up with him, my DH was with our 2 yr old, and our daughter was with my cousin, and my brother and SIL with their 2 yr old in another room. Not an ideal sleeping situation....

Next year we are staying at Villa D'Va 1b. Looks good and locks up internally too - two bedrooms upstairs, and two downstairs. It's on JL Kunti. We are also staying at the Mercure in Sanur. We like to have part villa/part hotel for our annual Bali holiday now.

I have one of the cuisipro foam pumps as well. I bought one from Kitchenwarehouse Direct for $19.95 ish, but as I was buying other things, the postage was included. It is great. We only use it in the kitchen, and it really does cut down on the amount of liquid soap we use. I need something similar for the body wash that the kids seem to swim in!!! I tend to stop them using it for a while, and only give them a bar of soap.

Denzelmum, I was saddened to read about your baby. It must be extremely hard having to go through the loss of a child. I am glad that baby no.3 is in the clear.

I chose my name because my birthday is on Sep 9 - star sign is Virgo. All my children share 9s with me in their birthdays too. DD 19/10, DS1 9/12 and DS 9/9 (my birthday pressie two years ago!).

I was just wondering what bread recipe you use for your one rise in the fridge overnight? Would any one work? Also do you cover the dough with a tea towel, or some glad wrap when it is in the fridge? It sounds much easier than trying to do the bread in the morning. I am finding I am mostly making bread on the weekends, as there are always errands etc to run during the week and I can't guarantee that I will be home for the duration of the bread making.

Thanks for all of these ideas everyone! So there are a few things that I can use it for, the very least being giving it to the dog. I don't know why I didn't think of it. That will be a nice regular treat for her (and she might even get some pikelets from the kids too )

Cookie - I don't think I could put him on the bench and cook. He's normally quite active anyway so I don't put him on the bench anyway. I think the ground is the best level for him for a while....

Frozzie - no, he wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary or weird. It just seemed that when he spun around, his foot stayed still, causing the break. DD10 was very worried about him (as was DH and i) and couldn't stop thinking about it all the next day at school, given the fact he broke it just like that. We were all around and he was playing really nicely on his own and we were about to get the kids into bed. If only we had of put him to bed five minutes earlier.... The doctor said it was quite common and is called a 'toddler fracture', occurring in kids between about 18months and 3 years. Normally they do it by climbing off chairs, falling over a toy or involving stairs.

Bedlam - play dough is definitely on the agenda. He's starting to get frustrated not being about to move much (although is beginning to bottom shuffle). It's school holidays here now, so at least the other two kids can help keep him entertained.
