I was really pleased with this recipe. Lovely crunchy loaf and beautiful chewy bread. Best bread I've made. Though anybody got tips on how to make rolls. Because there is no second rise don't want to over handle the dough. Ta Z

Just finished my batch, yummy. Though it's quite orange colour. The tomatoes were fresh from garden, lovely red colouring, though not Roma. I added a total of 280g tomato paste, nearly double. I usually make the recipe from thermomix hd app, which has red capsicum in it & turns out "redder". I am really happy with flavour & texture, just not the colour. Next time I'm going to try jigging the two recipes together. Any feedback if it keeps longer would be much appreciated.

Thanks Judy. My usual homemade lasts longer than 2wks. Do you think will also? Both recipes have vinegar & sugar, I sterilise bottles, then keep in fridge once open.

Hi. I hope this isn't too much of a blonde question. Is there any reason why this can't be stored & used like a regular homemade tomato sauce/ketchup recipe, that you would squeeze over your snags (aka sausages)?

My next variation is going to be melt some white choc through condensed milk then swirl some raspberries through.

Yum. Just made the yummiest chocolate ice cream using this recipe with a slight modification. After making my own condensed milk, whilst it was still warm I melted 150g of green & blacks 70% into it. Then cooled the condensed milk/choc mixture and followed remainder of recipe. You either end up with the most delicious choc mouse or freeze for a choc treat. Not as healthy as puréed mango, but definitely good!!!!

Followed the chicken tandoori salad tonight with the classic lemon cheesecake. Beautiful. Just like your expect for a classic cheesecake, lovely smooth texture. Will make this many more times and after little effort it will certainly please the crowds. Two modifications. 1. Added extra lemon (I would recommend doing this to taste). 2. I had a blonde moment and made the base of the strawberry meringue cake, instead of the recommended shortbread pastry that is at the start of the book (I think it would be handy if a recipe is required within a recipe, that a pg number would be handy to help find the recipe). The coconut in this base was lovely against the lemon. Made my own condensed milk with The Opies recipe again. Such a lovely recipe. Perfect. Thank you Tenina Linked CC

Made this tonight. Another winner. Would add halved cherry tomatoes next time to compliment chicken & dressing. Thanks Tenina.

I liked it that it used maple syrup as the sweetener. My dark choc was quite bitter so definitely needed the maple for my taste. So I think the answer would partly depend upon dark choc used. You could always make it without the maple syrup, then taste test & add if required (can always add in, but can't take it out). I don't think it was a super sweet syrup, if I have second thoughts after my hot drink in the morning I'll let you know.

Made the choc milk concentrate today. One word - Yummo!! Made a super quick hot drink for me today and the taste & sweetness was perfect. Will try a choc milkshake from it in the next few days. Thanks Tenina!! Busy few days from KIS, in the next two days will also be making lemon cheesecake & tandoori chicken. Sorry to post this in the incorrect spot, unsure how to do it correctly. Have moved it and linked it to the list - JD

Made this today. I found it very easy & method quite clear. Texture/cooking time reasonably spot on. Though taste not quite right for us (maybe b/c we also had Tenina's super yummy all purpose ice-cream with it, which certainly out shone the brownie). For me I could taste in the background the balsamic vinegar, DH couldn't taste vinegar - but did say it's not his favourite brownie.

Made this today. Super yummy & super creamy. Much appreciated by everyone. DH even said there is no longer any need to go to dairy bell for the family treat. Used 150g raw sugar to make praline to mix through. Far too sweet, will try 80-100g next time & reduce milling time. Made my own condensed milk from The Opies website (500g milk makes just over 1 tin), highly recommend their recipe also. Thanks Tenina!!!

I understand what you're saying, but it's such great info lost in the depths of the 33pges of this thread!

Could the advice of freezing and reheating/finish cooking be added to the main recipie? bb
