Nothing like Mum’s cooking, your son will appreciate it for sure.
I had beef mince stew on toast for lunch so it will be avocado and tomato on toast for tea.

I’ve spent almost 3 hours cutting back shrubs, happy with what I achieved but my back isn’t.

Home from a 3 night getaway. Found my Nana’s cottage in Moonta and walked into an op shop in Maitland and there was a lady working in there who looked like my Aunty so I knew she was my cousin. We wouldn’t have seen each other for decades. We had a very enjoyable, relaxing trip and were impressed with the changes in these country towns. Nice to see you’ve caught up with Marina again Chookie. I saw the new Thermomix today for the first time. As we left this morning there was a Saturday market just around the corner from our lodgings so we pulled over and had a browse. The lady and I had a good chat, not so much about the machine but it does look nice and is bigger than I thought. One day maybe.

Yes sure cookie, we’re on the Yorke Peninsular staying in Wallaroo and exploring nearby towns. My Mum’s family all came from over here but I haven’t been in this area for decades and boy they sure look different now.

Nice to see we’re back up, it’s so frustrating when it happens so regularly.
My friend came to lunch then after he went I spent over 3 hours weeding the double driveway. A good job out of the way before it gets too hot.

Gosh that was a long time ago Chookie, I’d forgotten about that. Your muffins would have been a funny colour 😁

G will love it Chookie, we brought 4 x 1 litre bottles back from our last cruise. I’ll surprise him and not tell him what’s in it.

A good find Chookie. I’ve also tried out one who works from home after a recommendation from a gym friend. My regular lady charged me $43 for the last cut and this new one charged $30, a much better price.

It was a bought fresh one from Drakes Chookie (Pasta Master beef lasagne 550 g $7.60) and it was how the Italians make their lasagnes. 4 layers of pasta and not much between each layer but certainly enough to make a delicious meal, sauce topping was very nice too. I’ll be buying more for sure, 3 meals for me so for a quick meal it was a winner.

I made Nagi’s chicken stew for tomorrow’s tea, will put a pastry topping on it then. https://www.recipetineats.com/chicken-stew/ Followed her recipe apart from leaving out the potato (I added peas at the end) and I removed the skin from the the drumsticks. I took the meat off the bone once cooked. Made 2 desserts - Baileys cheesecake and an apple and strawberry crumble.
