Well I made the chocolate recipe off the forum (sorry...will have to check out who's it was!)...it was yummy, but was too rich for me...might try it with half milk instead of all cream

Have had the bowl in the freezer overnight....hmmm now what to make??? I'm assuming heavy cream is just full fat normal cream? Can you thaw out cream that you had in the freezer already? Or should I go and buy a new lot? Has anyone tried any of the recipes in the recipe book that came with it? (cuisinart) Cheers, Renae

Let me rephrase that last post....it should read "my distributorship wouldn't inform me" (not Tupperware) ...I have just looked in the FAQ on the tupperware website and it contains a downloadable file which lists all the products and what plastics are used in each. I should've looked there first donkeys ago when customers were asking, instead of trusting my distributor.

Tupperware won't tell you... when we used to ask on behalf of our customers, our distributor would just tell us that they have the food standard symbol on the bottom (cup & fork I think) that indicates it is up to the standards for eating from. I had to google and find out that the microwave rock n serves and also the red cookware (hard, clear plastic) contain bpa. I know it's probably only paranoia, but they have said loads of other stuff has been safe in the past....like our babies bottles, and now after years of use (and exposure) it isn't. I haven't used my oven ware for ages which is a shame because it cost me crap loads! And those microwave containers are just so darn handy

Just a quick question for you all..... We are all aware of the nasties that are in our foods, but do any of you have an opinion on the kind of cookware that you use, or don't use?? I have often wondered about the health aspects of non stick (but still use it out of laziness!) and after all the BPA plastics in the headlines...do any of you wonder about the safety of flexible bakeware? I own quite a few pieces of the tupperware range (was a dealer)..but now I'm not so sure. What's your views on it all? Cheers, Renae

Hi Everyone Just a quick question...in the recipe books, it says that you should rinse your chicken and dry with paper towel (I'm sure I read that somewhere!) before you put it in the varoma. If you marinate your chicken first (or cheat and buy it from lenards already like that hehehe)...do you still need to rinse all that juicy flavour off?? Sorry if that's a dumb question. Cheers, Renae

I have thought about just getting a good stainless frypan...but how do you clean them??? If anything sticks or burns...it's so hard to get it off. I worry about the chemicals etc that are in the non stick ones, but always seem to go back to them for ease of cleaning.

I currently have a 3 pce non stick set, "VUE" which are Myer brand.....and I have also got a large scanpan as a frying pan/sauteing..it's non stick, after having it for approx one year the non stick started to peel...so I sent it back and it was replaced with a brand new one...now after using it for approx six months, it is so damn sticky. I need to use oil to fry an egg and it still sticks...not happy AT ALL!! I don't know whether I can be bothered to go through all the drama again...but in saying that, my mum has a full set of scan pan and has never had a problem. I never put it in the dishwasher, use metal utensils or use spray oil on it...so not sure why it's mine that is playing up

It's my sons 11th birthday today, so I was going to whip up the chocolate bimby cake. I also might whip up the whole orange cake in cupcakes, that way I can freeze them for later

Thanks heaps Judy...I will have to give it a go.
As for the temperature...don't normally have a problem up here in Nth Qld..but since it is winter, I did put it in a preheated oven @ 50 deg C. It still rose, but didn't seem to double in size.
