OMG...just stumbled upon this site and I think I am going to love it. Just added my first recipe from this forum using the bookmarklet, and it is great!! Love that it can link up with ipad etc and be accessed online if away.
Just what I have been looking for!! Trying really hard to get more out of my thermomix...now I need to spend less time playing and planning and more time doing...lol

Thanks for that Shazzy, I went ahead and made it with the tapioca, didn't really have another option as I couldn't get back to the shops, in the fridge now, will see how they go

This recipe looks great! I have just been to the shop to grab what I need, but realised I am also out of cornflour Do you think Tapioca flour would be ok? Also, once you have poured the custard over and placed the second sheet on top, do you then just put it in the fridge to set? Sorry if that is a silly question, I have never made vanilla slice before

Was browsing looking for a finger bun recipe myself and came across this thread. Not sure if Red Kell is still around and how did you go with these, what did you end up using? Question for Frozzie, I have tried doing a search for bill granger cinnamon buns , but can't seem to find them, is there anything else I could use in the search terms or do you have a link that you could share please

Had a variation on this today for lunch....super yummy! I didn't add onion or sultanas, but put in a handful of walnuts a carrot and some parsley, just chopped it all together. Very nice

Thanks cookie1 I know it is possible on a smf forum, just wasn't sure if I was missing it. For now I will continue to bookmark in favourites or print out recipes.

At the risk of sounding completely clueless, I am confused about flours. What exactly is the difference between Plain Flour & Bakers Flour? And does it mater if one is substituted for the other? I have never bought bakers flour, and pretty much ignored it's existance in a recipe, but now I am wondering if that is affecting how the recipe should turn out? I have just read in a recipe in the EDC that bakers flour shouldn't be used in cakes and batters etc, so now I am thinking there must be a difference. Can someone please help, my head is hurting thinking about it...lol.

Just wondered if there is a way to internally bookmark threads? To have them on a list or something...I have seen it on other forums, but not sure if there is the feature here? I am getting lost in so many wonderful recipes and want to know where to go back to so I can try them all I know I can bookmark in my browser favourites, was just hoping for an internal forum way.

Which recipe did you use for the rolls please LR?
My partner is also gluten free and a non cook... however, she does use the TMX often!
I used the one in the 'special diet' forum. It is near the top of the forum. I am not sure that it ground everything correctly, as the tops of the rolls had a 'grainy' texture, but they still tasted ok. I am imagining my partner will start to use it too as time goes on Ceejay :-) Thanks Cornish Cream, I am happy to be here I know she has fallen in love with the food dede, and I am sure the love for cooking in it will come....that is if I ever let her near it mwahahaha
