Chit Chat / Re: What do people expect/want from a consultant?« on: February 26, 2011, 03:41:01 am »
I expect my consultant to have enthusiasm for the machine and appreciation for an easy sale. I would think that if a sale was made and a consultant was planning to be offline or away for the month after a sale was made that a good consultant would put you in touch with another consultant/GL to offer follow up and demo's.
I don't really like that in order to buy cookbooks a consultant would prefer you to order them your selves and pay for postage. Other consultants I know have them available for their customers without the postage fee added on. I expect a consultant to inform all their customers of upcoming cooking classes or public demo's and not find out via another consultant. If a consultant stops selling I would appreciate the courtesy of introducing me (even online) to another consultant in my area. My main thing I would LOVE is if my consultant could let me know of host rewards/offers of things that I want to add to my TMX experience such as when the 2nd jug offer or a certain cookbook comes up as a host reward contact me and ask if I would like to book a demo. 5
Recipe Requests / Spinach Cob Loaf Dip« on: February 26, 2011, 02:42:24 am »
Hi
I was hoping someone could help me out with a spinach cob loaf dip. That doesn't use frozen spinach. I have my cob loaf ready to go but have no idea what is in or how to make a spinach dip. Thanks. 6

I made the Chicken and Cashews with Coconut Satay Sauce and Coconut Rice last night but changed it to almonds instead. It was delicious. I think I added way to many vegies to the Varoma tray though as they took a while and it was over flowing.
I am trying to find a cob loaf spinach dip today that doesn't use frozen spinach. I made poached eggs yesterday and they were delicious. Have done 3 x bread (loaf, cob loaf and buns) today. And there is still the dip and some muffins to make yet. I guess it is all about baby steps and taking it slowly to gain confidence. I will have to look for more one [pot recipes as they are awesome and make the TMX very much worth it. I think I've been avoiding EDC recipes as I wasn't having much success with them and when I came on here I saw a few were not quite right and another consultant had said similar bout some of the EDC recipes. Thanks everyone. 7

That recipe looks great CreamPuff thanks.
Yep that exactly what I had faffa. We cooked pumpkin soup and a sorbet. But my thermomserver came with my TMX so I don't think I actually qualified for one without having a delivery demo. So do I have this right: Basic demo - others attend (most people make a purchase after attending one of these, I didn't attend a demo before buying my machine but had heard such great things about them and a friend had shown me hers) Delivery demo - others attend and you get a free thermoserver Delivery briefing - just the consultant and the client check over the TMX works and everything was in its box by completing one recipe. Varoma demo- others attend Any other demo's I should know about? I need all the cooking classes demo's I can get!! 8

I'm near Newcastle in Port Stephens.
I've had my 'toy' since mid December. I had a 'delivery' demo (which wasn't what my friends got, different menu or something) and then my consultant went away for a month. I just attended a basic cooking class on Tuesday because a friend mentioned to her consultant I was having dramas and she rang to tell me that the cooking classes were being held locally and she would love to meet me, that was helpful. Truthfully I don't know where I am stuck, I don't use it because I don't want to wreck good food. At the moment I am having success with bread and yogurt. I would love to know more about cooking basic food like steamed meat, and a salad and/or sauce which I was hoping to get that info out of the varoma demo. I'll check out the demonstrators on here. Glad to see orphans are loved by the passionate consultants. 9

Yep it was cancelled, and illness was the excuse. I'm just not feeling an 'you deserve my time and effort, you obviously need help. What can I do?' kinda love from my current consultant.
My friends who were really only coming so I could learn and gain confidence weren't too impressed and I am disheartened. 10
Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: Should I become a consultant?« on: February 24, 2011, 06:05:09 am »
Wow this thread was a bit of a shock to the system. I am very glad people feel comfortable enough around here to be honest though.
Can someone confirm something for me: Is it true there is no minimum time to have had your thermomix for before you become a consultant? Is it true that a consultant could have got their machine a week ago and be putting on demo's and cooking classes? I heard a consultant can pay of their machine whilst working. 11
Chit Chat / Etiquette and how to switch counsultants« on: February 24, 2011, 05:57:38 am »
It has become apparent I need to find a new consultant, I feel like I was just a sale. A demo I was meant to have tonight was cancelled and I am desperate to learn how to use my machine or sell it .
So what do you think is the right thing/proper etiquette when switching consultants? How do I go about finding a new consultant in my area? I feel terrible that the sale has already been made, and the commission went to someone that isn't helping me. I don't feel right about contacting another consultant and asking for some demo's when I know, no sale will come out of any of them. I doubt I'll even have friends to invite any demo's now cause I've already my demos been cancelled a few times. What should I do? 12
Chit Chat / Varoma Demo tonight« on: February 23, 2011, 11:41:57 pm »
I was wondering if anyone else has attended/hosted a Varoma demo. I'm having mine tonight, and am a bit concerned, I just got my ingredients list of things I need to buy for tonight and it doesn't seem like a Varoma demo.
Fruity Dream, Pizza, Dip, Soup, Chicken, Pumpkin and Couscous Salad, and Steamed Puddings. What do you think? Is this a varoma demo menu, or a basic demo menu? I attended a basic cooking class on Tuesday and on the menu was: sorbet, dip, bread, scrolls, steamed pudding, salad, vegie pasta thingy and a juice. Both these menu's are very similar. So I was wondering whats on the menu for most Varoma demo's? 13
Chit Chat / Re: Varoma demo« on: January 25, 2011, 02:25:04 am »
Wow am I confused now. My consultant hasn't got back to me about the incentives for February. I really feel as though I was just a 'sale' and without this forum I would be completely pissed off about my TMX purchase. I feel like I have missed out heaps. What should I do? Is it possible to find another consultant in my area?

Chit Chat / Re: Varoma demo« on: January 24, 2011, 01:15:56 am »
Oh I got shown how to make pumpkin soup and blueberry sorbet. Is that a normal delivery demo menu? I also got a thermoserve with my TMX, was that not supposed to happen?
So maybe I will chase up another varoma demo before the end of Jan as I would love the Varoma cookbook. 15
Chit Chat / Re: Varoma demo« on: January 17, 2011, 10:06:38 am »
Whats the go with 3 people at a delivery demo? For mine it was just me, and I didn't even have a demo or attend one before I brought it.
Also does the cookbook thingo only go for January? As I have a Varoma demo booked for Feb as that is the only time my consultant could fir me in, I might try and go with a different consultant if thats the case. |
