Not from my garden at all, they grow wild. That's why I mentioned it because a lot of people are reluctant to use wild produce.

I made this twice last week, it was lovely. I used native raspberries harvested from my property. These little fruit are quite common in NE Australia, so I thought I'd mention it in case others here have them and have no ideas on how to use them.

Thanks, do you roast them first?

Hi Cookie, thanks for the welcome. I have been lurking here for a while using recipes etc but have not had a reason to post yet. The search facility is great, has saved me on many an occassion.

we make besan flour for our varoma demo's. Works well though it sounds like you are in a war zone - be warned!!

Thanks for the reply. What do you make it with? Channa dahl?

Bread / Has anyone made Besun or Gram flour?

I have done some googling and have varied advice that besun or gram flour is either flour made from roast chickpeas or flour made from Channa dahl. I just put some channa dahl into my tx and zapped it on 9 for about a minute until it made a fine "flour". Do you think I can use it in recipes wanting besun flour? It looks like flour but having never used Besun before I have nothing to compare it with!
This might not be in the right place, let me know if I may get more replies under a different sub-heading.
TIA,
Fiona
