I think this is a good spot to post this.. Perth people- The new markets at Morley (Coventry's old site) has a great little herb and spice shop that sells everything in bulk (celery seeds too!) and even has little plastic jars for 80c. A great indian place too with HUGE bags of coriander powder and EVERYTHING else imaginable!!

Finished off Tenina's Malt, now sprouting more wheat for next lot.. Plus shoots are delicious and kids and I ate a heap before we dried them in oven!! Had green lentil, chorizo and sweet potato soup for lunch.. Cooking a chocolate and zucchini cake now (own adaption Verdict later on that one!) Will do a baguette for dinner, which is left overs... Stocked up for Tenina's Curried butternut pumpkin soup and tomato and leek soup this week... Found a great little herb and spice shop on weekend at Coventry Morley Markets.. Got some dried chillies and celery seeds for all of 45c. All in bulk, plus they sell little plastic containers for 80c too.... Worth a look. Had essences too I noticed...

Can't see how the fibre could in any way be detrimental! If anything it would fill you up so you'd have less fruit / veges and hence calories! Not good long term though...

Hally, I haven't tried their lamb sausages. Will do though. Is your butcher north or south? Would like a good one north.

Hally, do you have Aussie Farmers deliver to you? They do a sensational butterflied lamb- 900gm for $19, quite expensive but it is sensational. It's marinated, I usually grill in George Foreman, and have 1/2 warm one night and for salad next day. It feeds 5 of us for both days.

Chicken stock- I left mine in the oven until the skin was crispy.. I did turn the oven quite low, as I didn't want to burn the veges etc. I did have the tray quite piled up and turned the veges / bones over regularly. I did also take out those that dried out first, and left others in a bit longer- the celery took longer to dry out than the skin and some of the other veges. I used fennel seeds too as I didn't have any celery seeds.. All up I reckon the oven was on about 2 hours, not good when it's 40 degrees in the shade, but I'm loving cooking so much at the moment nothing else matters!! I made the energy bars today.. I processed everything up though- my kids aren't keen on chunky nuts. I had whole almonds, skin on, so milled down you won't pick the skins. They are YUM! Have told my girls they can have them for beakfast with a glass of milk- they think I've gone mad letting them have chocolate for breakfast! Any one NOR- Jones St, (Stirling) Fruit and Vege have "2nd's almonds" cheap (think I paid $5 for a kg) they're broken bits of almonds, but perfect for cooking... Yes Cookie, we must make ourselves known! I will go to Tenina's next day time class if she does one as promised!!! I'm having a green smoothie for lunch every day too.. Attempting to lose the weight I've gained since thermie came along, so far so good...

Wow! Spent the day cooking, should have been working!!! Now I have the umani paste, yellow curry paste, and chicken vegetable stock powder. Basics in the fridge ready to go!! About to put the baguette in the varoma too. Used fresh yeast for the first time ever so really excited!!! Everything I've made looks exactly like the picture, and the tastes (and smells!) are divine. What a great way to use up a chicken carcass!!!! My friend and I went to Tenina's class yesterday lunchtime. Just like the last class, it was fun, informative, tasty and refreshing.. Keep the classes coming Tenina and we'll keep attending. We are so lucky to live here!!!!

Hi all, does anyone know of any cooking classes suitable for children (10) in Perth? I contacted babycakes and you have to organise your own group of six mums and kids. I've googled it but not having a lot of luck. Any type of class really, doesn't have to be sweets (though she'd prefer sweets!!)
