Hi, I am sure you'll love the tmx, but most likely it will not really help you loose weight right away because you'll want to try all the amazing recipes. Sooner or later you'll get to a point where you will just not like food anymore that is not as good as the stuff that you'll be able to make with your TMX; after all and in the long run it is just a way to much better food and that itself will help your weight to go down.
If it is about loosing weight maybe you should try to go without carbohydrates at night. So for dinner it would just be veggies, salads and meat/fish dishes. No Bread, potatoe, rice, chips or noodles. You should make sure you get enough protein if you are on a low carb diet. Low Carb recipes are easy to find online - at least in Germany... ;-)
Good luck, Susanne

Oh, my daughter is a Pfalzer - she was born in Bad Duerkheim. Whereabouts are you?
I live about 10 minutes from Kaiserslautern, which is about a 30 minute drive to Bad Duerkheim! Isn't it amazing how small the world can be???

To all of you: Thanks so much for welcoming me; I hope I can match the expectations. For now I just enjoy looking around and getting ideas about how the TM is used in different countries. Recipes to seem to vary quite a bit from country to country. I did not even think about going online to check if there were TM-Communities in other countries.... Oh well, I guess most of you know the feeling of not beeing able to see whats right in front of us Take good care and thanks again for all the nice Greetings, Susanne

Herzlich Willkommen Susanne, it's wonderful to have you on board. I'm deeply impressed that you have 6 children, work AND cook fresh food daily! I take my hat off to you - I barely manage to hold things together with just 2.
Whereabouts in Germany are you?
I Live in Rheinland-Pfalz, that is in the souht-west part of germany, only about a n hour to France! Thanks for all the greetings, I impressed on how many people outside of germany use the TM. I always thought it is just a german thing....

Hello Susanne Wow ! that is a lot of thermy experience ! Looking forward to hearing some great ideas and recipes ! PS what's a 'lecker' recipe? Cheers from Australia Sonan
Hi Sonan, sorry ``LECKER´´ just means yummie, tasty, great, delicious. I thought that was an almost international expression , I'll be more precise from now on......
Bye for now, Susanne

Hello Moo!
I have 6 children, 2 teenage daughters and 4 boys (12,10,3 and 1) and believe me I really do not know how I would manage without a TM. I work parttime and I just need a gadget that can do a lot of things in almost NO time!! My kids eat fresh food everyday and I have a son who has a couple of food intolerances. So making homemade bread and cake and pastries is a DAILY thing in addition to the regular cooking. The 3 oldest ones can operate the TM by themselves, the girls (16 and 15) make the greatest cakes and desserts. I must say that I've been owning the Thermomix for almost 20 years, so I've never experienced another kitchenmachine, but I was always very happy with it so why even bother to try? I am sure it'll do you good as well, greetings from Germany,
Susanne

Hi there TM useres all over the world. I am a TM addict for nearly 20 years and have just a couple of weeks ago discovered this website!! A year ago I bought the latest model and I still use it every day, as I did with the 2 models before I cook for 8 hungry people (we have 6 children) and I don't really know how I would do without a TM. Especially since I work parttime and I need a gadget that helps me save time while cooking fresh products daily. Can't wait to try some of the ''lecker'' recipes postet. I'll keep you updated on what works well for us..... Greetings from Germany, Susanne
