Oh yes, love chillies! Unfortunately the chillies I used today were the last from the plant – the frost here has killed it and we've been slow with relocating it

We had thai chilli chicken and basil.
Followed the recipe below.. Except I threw in extra chillies with the seeds, whole bunch of basil and coriander, 200ml coconut milk and mixed through blacked spinach for greens.. Enough for lunch for myself and J. hoping it might be spicier tomorrow ! Yum! http://www.stephberg.com/?p=324 5

I made these a few months ago and will definitely be making more as it's pretty close toast my mum made with less effort!
I made the pineapple filling the night before do that it will soak in more flavours from the spice and also that it would set to a thick consistency. I made the open pineapple tarts. You should ensure that the pastry is rolled out not too thick. I found using the MC made it too large for my liking so I might try something else next time. Also, I found the pastry quite soft and hard to handle; when I asked my mum after it was all made, she suggested to wrap the pastry in cling wrap and leave it in the fridge for about 30 mins. All in all, the taste was pretty authentic for me and made me feel less homesick 9

I made this once with chicken pieces and once with a whole size 10chicken and I think steaming in the verona with the whole chicken is the way to go. I also had some baking paper under the chicken taking care not to deal the vents. This kept the chicken really moist and allowed flavours from the wine and ginger and garlic to be retained. Yum!

Made these for the first time today and think they are delicious! Although mine were stuck to the baking paper even when it was greased. Any suggestions to what I should do next time?

Cakes / Re: Lemon Yoghurt Cake« on: June 11, 2012, 11:38:54 am »
I made 2 today and it turned out well. Tho still not lemony enough for my liking
My initial attempt was using spelt flour, rapadura sugar and where's milk yogurt. The colour of the cake was not a bright yellow and it was not as moist. The sheep yogurt had a heavier taste too. Just wondering if anyone had any luck with sheep or how's milk yogurt as I can't have too much cow's dairy. All in all a very simple and delicious cake! 14

I wish that easter case. Unfortunately I am one of those that don't read instructions properly and like to estimate amounts of ingredients But I would try it again. I think it'll be a good weeknight dinner time saver! 15
