Cookbook Contents / Help in choosing cookbook
« on: June 20, 2012, 08:55:11 pm »
Hi all. I have been offered a free cookbook after hosting a demo. I can't decide what to get and it's harder when you have no idea what's in the book. I already have "My Way of Cooking". I'm deciding between A Table avec Thermomix or La France gourmande, these are in french. But the husband wants Viva Italia, in german. Any out there with these books?

Main Dishes / Re: Super Tasty Meatloaf
« on: May 13, 2012, 02:13:13 pm »
Made this today for a party. I doubled the recipe and didn't reduce the sauce much before adding to the meat loaves. I then left it in the oven at 100C  for an hour or so. When it was time to serve it, the sauce was nicely reduced and the meat loaves were still warm.  The other thing I changed was using matzos instead of cream crackers because I couldn't find them here. It was delicious! Thanks for the recipe.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hi from Switzerland
« on: May 12, 2012, 11:18:54 am »
Thanks all for the warm welcome. Regarding the poll, I'm originally from Singapore but living in Switzerland for now. So I can't decide which country I should put down.  :-\ The thermomix is great in helping make food that we can't find here easily if at all. That's what sold me on it. I'm so enjoying cooking with it. This forum is great for everything thermomix-related. It helped made the decision to purchase much easier.

Introduce Yourself / Hi from Switzerland
« on: May 11, 2012, 09:23:41 pm »
Hi all. I first met a Thermomix a month ago. Never even heard of one before that. Googled it and decided my life could be much easier with one and the machine came 2 weeks ago. So far the family (DH, DS8, DS6 and DD4) has been happy with the meals made with it.  Living in Switzerland means lots of meals at home. I foresee a happy future with Thermomix in it!
