What a great no fuss cake! I also added a tbsp of oillar box red colour to make it a red-velvet style. That sounds awesome!! Just wondering if you used the normal liquid food colouring (from grocery stores) or some special type (like the gels you get from cake speciality shops) to get the rich red colour? I want to try this out soon and not sure if I need to buy a different food colouring to the one I've already got. 3
Introduce Yourself / The thermomix has changed my life :)« on: August 01, 2012, 11:49:54 am »
Hi all,
I've just joined this forum and it is great! Thanks to everyone who posts and shares info and recipes...as my subject line says, it has changed my life, or at least the way I cook! I have however, searched high and low for a recipe to cook tapioca. I just cook it plain and add coconut milk / sugar after (it is a Malaysian dessert). I know there is a recipe for tapioca cereal in the book given to us, but I wanted to do it without soaking beforehand as I usually cook it on demand of my 2 year old daughter ...so I did some experimenting today and it took 23 minutes on reverse + soft speed. Has anyone else tried it and got a different result? Thanks!
