Shoulda read the comments!  I made mine for a gift and it was very thick and the pieces of apple skin and bean were not that pleasant.  I am going to give it anyway, because it is so yummy and rename it strawberry vanilla bean fruit paste.  Next time I will blitz the ingredients and just finish off on Varoma. There definitely will be a next time!

Made this for dinner tonight, using fish instead of chicken.  Overall, a thumbs up if you like fresh coriander and coconut.

My tweaks:
-one large green chili instead of three due to household chili wimps- 3 seems like a lot, actually.
-After getting to step 5 and blending, it seemed a bit lacking in depth so I added some grated fresh ginger (about a 3 cm knob). Next time I will add this in with the onion and garlic.
-I used light coconut milk so at the end if was a bit thin and I thickened it up with a tablespoon or so of cornstarch slurry.
-I had some powerful mint chutney in the cupboard, so I added a teaspoon at the end.  It gave it a nice flavour boost.

We had it with roti and samosas and some raita!  I will definitely make it again. :)

I think the book is now available, but this recipe is actually on Tenina's website as a component of a tart:  http://tenina.com/2011/08/caramelised-garlic-tart-hotmixpro-thermomix/  .  I am not sure if it's exactly the same, but I have some cooking now. Enjoy!

Yum!  Velvetty and tangy and sweet.  I added double the lemon juice, since I have soooo many on my tree and I added an extra egg yolk as well.  I ate the first batch straight out of the jar with a spoon over the course of 5 days.  I need to watch out or I will turn into a Bimby balloon!

Hi everyone... another Melbournian here.

I have wanted a thermomix for ages and I have had the greatest fun playing over the last 2 weeks since it arrived:  butter, scones, jam, lemon curd, curries, sorbet, bread, cleaning solution, and more!

I have been lurking around the forum for ages and I feel like I already know some of the regulars.  Thanks in advance for all your ideas and advice!
