Breakfast / Re: faffa's Yoghurt
« on: December 09, 2012, 11:44:31 am »
If you are doing the EDC recipe for yoghurt, but don't uses the powdered milk - do you have to cook it to 90 degrees, then cool it, then add yoghurt then cook it at 37 degrees?

Can you just add yoghurt to 37 degree milk, cook for 10 minutes then set overnight?

Thanks
Jo

Chit Chat / Re: What's for Dinner Tonight?
« on: July 27, 2011, 02:23:51 pm »
Hi,
just thought I'd start a new thread to see if it's helpful.  For those of us not usually organised enough to do a meal plan, but thinking one day ahead / on the day  :D

I'm planning to do a stir fry turkey dish tonight (coconut, ginger and lemongrass sauce) in the TMX tonight, with steamed jasmine rice.  I only hope that fussy DD1 likes it!
Hi where can I find this sauce recipe or did you make it up? I need a good sauce with chicken

Jo :)  :P

Chit Chat / Chicken and Cashew sauce was not good - ideas?
« on: July 27, 2011, 02:20:01 pm »
Help!! I just made the chicken and cashew from the Everyday Cookbook, and we didn't like the sauce. The dry sherry and soy just didn't work for our tastebuds....any suggestions for a nice sweetnsour or lemon sauce to go with the chicken and cashew dish?

Introduce Yourself / Newbie - arrived on my birthday
« on: July 22, 2011, 03:06:18 pm »
After a demo I slept on the idea of getting one and couldn't get it out of my head. So with the July special of 2 thermo servers - I'm in. Then it arrived on my bday and I made my cake straight away. I love it.
I've never made a cake from scratch before and the Easy Choc Cake flew off the plate. And the butter- wow making my own butter is awesome.
I'm addicted.
Trying butter icing to go with my vanilla cupcakes. Yum
