Heating time
« on: June 13, 2012, 12:38:52 pm »
Hi,

I have had my TMX for about 2 weeks and I have noticed that the heating is not as fast as I thought it would be.  For example cooking tonight it said cook 15 mins, 100 degrees and soft speed/reverse. I set this and watched the lights for temp and it was at just under 10mins when it got to 100 degrees ( I minced slightly frozen meat so assumed this is why??)

Should I add extra time to make up for the 'heating up' time??? Does this make sense?

Is this normal?

Thanks in advance, I am still learning the new way of cooking and have so many silly questions!

Bec

There is no silly questions on this forum Bec,
Yep I would increase the time by an extra few minutes, and your 100% correct that the slightly frozen mince would slow the TM reaching 100.
Keep asking any questions you need to as there is always someone who can help :)
