Walnut Patties - A Taste of Vegetarian p. 48
« on: April 20, 2011, 01:52:44 pm »
Give a thumb up for this one.

I used ricotta from the container and drainned it for a few hours.  i used up all my walnut (110g instead of 100g as per recipe), turn out really nice.  It's not sticky and easy to shape.  Next time will try to bake in the oven and reduce (or omit) cayenne pepper to make it more children friendly.

Thanks for this, Denzelmum.  Will give these a go for sure and it is good to have your recommendation.  I wonder if you have tried the Oatey burgers?  (BTW I tried the zucchini moussaka from this book, I don't know if I did something wrong.  I found it quite time consuming to make and very sloppy--wouldn't bother again.)

Hope you enjoy it, Chelsea.  great finger food.  I think can make it bigger as burger as well.

Oatey burger is on my TO TRY list, will let you know soon, Lesley...

Made these in tiny patties for a finger food platter and served with sweet chilly sauce. Very nice. Will be making these again.
