HI, just wondering if anyone has made castor sugar.  If so how long do you mill it for (I don't want icing sugar) also do you use normal white sugar or raw sugar, thanks, Natalia

Hi natalia - try 3 seconds speed 9.. that's the recommendation and that works for both raw and white sugar for me . . . :D

but do keep it to 200 gm or under

Raw sugar is 3 seconds on speed 9. I cant tell you the times for white sugar. Haven't had it in the house for nearly 5 years but I am sure that someone will be able to if that is what you have to use. I should think it would possibly be about 2 secs on speed 9 :)

Hi Natalia, mill your sugar for about 3 seconds on speed 9 or 10. You should have caster sugar. I always check it after 3 secs and if I need to whizz it agin I do for just a couple more secs.
Can use either white or raw. I only have raw sugar so that's what I use.
Hope that helps  :)

I do white sugar 2 seconds/speed 8 only otherwise it is more like grainy icing sugar than castor sugar. You can always add a little bit more time if you want it finer.
