Cleaning venetian blinds :(

ATM I have the Miracle Spray and also mcmich's window cleaner (200 ml water, 200 ml vinegar and 50 ml methylated spirits  . . . and some very-much-in-need-of-cleaning, white,  thin slatted venetians.

Can anyone advise if either of these two mixtures would be good for this job?  Or are there other methods . .?  I REALLY don't want to get them down and into the bathtub

You can buy a ventian blind cleaning brush...

G.F., I clean my white wooden venetian blinds with just water and vinegar.
I do close them and lightly vacuum and then turn them the other way and do the same before cleaning with a cloth rinsed in the water and vinegar.
I don't think I would put metho on wooden surfaces.

Thanks mcmich . . these aren't wooden - would love those !!  I'll just try it with the vinegar and water first . . . this is one job I dread doing.

Dust or vacuum them first, Goldfish, otherwise you may end up in a worse mess.  Good luck

Sorry to hijack this post but the new house we're moving into has some wooden venetians and they could do with a clean. So what would you use for wooden ones?

I also have those thin ones but in dark blue - shall I just follow advice above for those?
