Ideas for a Birthday Brunch

Hi all,

Soon it will be my husband's birthday party (together with our teenager niece) and this year we are going to make a brunch.
Now, this is also the first year I have my Thermomix so I'd like to use it to prepare some things. The problem?? I won't have much time to prepare everything so I'm sure I won't be baking bread for example. The party is going to be on a Sunday and on Saturday before we have another family party.

So basically, what I'd like to ask all of you is some ideas of dishes I can start making during the week maybe and that could be kept till Sunday or dishes to make in the same day and that don't take much time  :)
We don't really have a theme or something similar, so there are no real restrictions.

I only started planning now and I'll be posting as well any ideas/decisions I come up with as I think your input can be much appreciated.

Oh, btw, we are 15 in total counting with 3 children under the age of 7.

Granola or Tenina's Graneusli can be made days in advance.
You could make croissants a few days ahead, freeze them before the final rise and baking, then thaw them and bake them on the Sunday (you'll need to do a test run first)
Corn fritters
omlettes/tmx steamed eggs
Baked tomatoes

Craison maple breakfast scones can be made ahead and reheated. So too can Amy's mini zucchini quiches.

I used to eat cold rice pudding or custard for breakfast sometimes. I don't see why it couldn't work for a brunch too ;) They can be done in individual dishes and decorated so they look pretty ;)

Like Kimmy said, my quiches can be made in advance and reheated or just served cold. Yum :D

There are lots of banana bread recipes on the forum and most can be frozen and defrosted the night before. They're nice warm or at room temperature.

You could make a big batch of pikelets or pancakes and serve with different toppings (jam, choc-nut spread, fresh fruit and yoghurt). I just checked Uni's freezing list and it says that pikelets can be frozen :)

Lots,of lovely ideas here. I really can't think of anymore. We absolutely love the Granuesli here and even eat it for a snack.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
