My Thermomix is on it's way!
« on: June 20, 2009, 09:40:41 am »
Thank you everyone for inspiring me to take the leap and buy a TMX!  Today, I had a second demo and we bought the TMX and I am eagerly deciding what I am going to cook in it first!

Think I might go with a cake that my consultant has converted for me - gluten, dairy and egg free!

How exciting!!!!!   ;D

Congratulations! You will love it! Just remember, practice makes perfect, and that it is sooooooo important to read through the recipe at first, I made a few boo boos at first, from not reading the recipe properly before I started. And don't worry, once you get a little more confident, you wont be needing the books, you will be adapting all your recipes and experimenting with new ones! Patience is a virtue! Enjoy & congratulations, your family will really appreciate it! Mine do!

My daughter came home last week from school at 8pm, and said 'Mum, tomorrow we are having a party at school and I need you to make 2 sponge cakes and a drink to take to the party!' Now a year ago, I wouldn't have been able to make it, as I probably wouldn't have had all the ingredients or the time (as I was off to Germany at the crack of dawn with hundreds of things to do) but hey! with THX I could have made 4 or 5 cakes! The 2 sponges turned out delicious and I made some Lemonade too! How lovely to be able to make all these lovely (relatively healthy) things for our families!  I LOVE THX!

Bron, you are way too clever :-* :-* and yes Marmee take Bron's warning seriously, READ THE RECIPE then READ IT AGAIN!!! We all probably still make that mistake and do something wrong because we haven't read ahead.  Have fun with it.

Thanks everyone.  I am sure it will very quickly become a much loved family member.

If only all family members came with manuals, heh?   ;D

(taps fingers impatiently.....)

I can't believe I had to cook pumpkin soup the old fashioned way tonight   :P

It was nice - but all the same...I had to stir the onion and garlic, completely deseed and deskin the pumpkin, and keep an eye on the pot, and get out my blender.

Where are you, my little angel?  Our family are waiting to meet you   ;D

Tee hee, life will never be the same again Marmee!!

You will judge holiday destinations by whether they are "Thermomix friendly" or not. You'll laugh at cooking shows where they grate things by hand etc etc

Enjoy!!

Tonight - spaghetti bolognaise.  Have you any idea how much you despise standing at the stove, stirring. chopping, mixing, when you know your little angel is out there somewhere, waiting to serve you well??/   :-\
