Hi from Dunsborough, WA
« on: July 12, 2009, 01:34:44 pm »
Hi All

Greetings from Dunsborough where our new Thermomix is working her little socks off.  She's been with us for about a month now and we are absolutley loving her (yes, she is part of the family - sad, I know).  Dunsborough has a population of about 4000 and just about every second person has a Thermomix here (well, maybe not THAT many, but close).

I spent near enough the whole day yesterday on the net, trolling the various Thermomix web site, blogs and recipe pages and am just thrilled that there is so much support out there.  I shall be an avid reader and, who knows, maybe I'll even contribute some of my favourite reciipes once I've converted some 'tried and trues'.

Looking forward to sharing.

Jenny H

Hi Jenny, what, you've had your TMX for a month and have only just introduced yourself ??? ??? Must have been so busy cooking and reading that it slipped your mind.  Welcome to our forum - it is the best place in the world to be. :) :) :)

Great to see you here- hope you have a great time and can help us too.  :-* :-*

Have you tried doing soaps in the TMX - or maybe that would put you out of business if we all make our own soap?   ;) ;D

Thanks for a lovely welcome!

Yes, I have been a bit slow to find the Forum but Roger (hubby) and I have been VERY busy with 'Thermo', as she is affectionately known in our house.

About the same time as we had our home demo, we started a Raw Food Discovery course (six weeks) and have been doing the transition to raw/vegetarian.  So, as you can imagine, we've been trying everything imaginable in our Thermo.  I did try one of the lotion recipes from the Vegetarian Cookbook - hmmm, quite different from my method so not too successful.  However, now that I am getting used to converting recipes I'm ready to have another go.  I'll keep you posted.

As for soap, I haven't given that a go yet but I definitely will be aiming to convert my current recipe.  I have heard a lot about soapmaking in the Thermo so am really keen.

We are off to another demo on Wednesday night - a friend who was at our demo - so a good time for some questions and a great opportunity to have someone else cook for me!!!!!!!!!

Hope to be in touch often.

Jenny
