I have just made Teninas sun dried tomato mayonaise
« on: December 30, 2013, 04:34:49 am »
My mayo is normally thick & creamy, this is very runny.

Any ideas how to thicken it up?

Yes it split, my normal mayomrecioe works every time ???

Thx

Going to bin it & start again tomorrow, probably used my trusted recipe & add the sun dried to that one.

Hally if it has split, you can start over with the eggs etc, then when it's time to add the oil in the recipe you just add the split mayo.  Would save you having to bin all those ingredients

Snappy I thought about that but then read it might re-split & I need it for a party.

Thanks anyway :)

Hally, if you're going to toss it, you may as well try Snappy's suggestion . . . it may just work - I've seen it done successfully (not by me, though! ;D)

Quirky Jo says to do the same as snappy if your mayo fails. Worth a try Hally.
