Quick Fix in the Thermomix - Marinated Goat's Cheese
« on: November 03, 2012, 08:25:34 am »
I've had the Goat's Cheese setting in the fridge for the past 48 hours and have just rolled it into balls and will marinate it for another day or so before I use it.  It really is more of a goat's yogurt than cheese but I still think it will be delicious.

This recipe is really easy although you do need to be patient.  I used my Easiyo container instead of a thermos and it seemed to work fine.

Here is a photo...

I finally got around to trying some of this todayby adding it to a simple salad of butter lettuce & avocado with a touch of EVOO.  Whilst it's not quite as good as my favourite goat's cheese (Meredith Dairy), it was pretty good and at about a quarter of the price I think I'll be making this one again.  A winner!

Cookie making goats milk cheese is too easy also a lot cheaper when you see goats milk cheap.

Thanks. I know where I can get some nearby.. It will be cheaper than paying a fortune for the cheese.

So I'm in the process of making this goats cheese. It's quite a time consuming process. I was supposed to leave it in the thermos for 12-18 hours but ended up having it in there for 23 hours. Would that be a problem?

Thanks Gert. Great to know.

I didn't line the basket properly so did not end up with much cheese. Had a taste and it tasted delicious but still have to wait for one more day of marinating to taste the end product.

Will probably make another batch soon.
