Newbie in the house from Perth
« on: October 19, 2014, 07:59:49 am »
Hey All. So great to join this awesome forum! I am just about to order my first Thermomix. I went to a TM party two years ago and I fell in love with the TM, but, I have an unfortunate history of buying appliances that I "can't live without" and they end up collecting dust. It was because of this that hubby was not keen (especially considering the price tag). So, I did some research and we agreed that I would buy myself a Bellini (Target TM semi-copy) and if it ended up being something that I actually used, we could talk about upgrading. Two years later and my Bellini has had a lot of use. It is starting to malfunction a bit so it is time to upgrade! :-)  I cannot wait to have a TM sitting on my counter!

Hello & welcome to the forum Meerkat.  So glad you have joined us, your trial run with the other machine was a great idea to convince DH you will use a thermal cooker.

Thanks everyone. I ordered it last night! I am not sure I am going to be able to stand the 8 week wait! On the bright side, I will get it before Christmas.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.  What a long wait!  When I buy something - I want it right now and I imagine that is how you must feel. You will certainly enjoy it when it comes (just in time for all those Christmas goodies too)
You haven't failed at anything until you stop trying.

Hi Astarra. I cook for hubby and two kids (our daughter turns 9 next month and our son turns three next month). Both kids are fussy eaters (aka spoilt).  ;)
