What is meant exactly by "bumping up" .I don't hear of this in England or am I just out of touch?

If it is used as in "bumping" a post or recipe it is just clicking on it again to bring it back to everyone's notice.
Eg if you type "bumping" into a recipe that hasn't been used for ages and ages it will bring it up to the top of its section again and make people notice it.

I hope that is a little clearer than mud.  :D

Hi Dot,
It just means that someone will comment on an old post so that it then gets "bumped up" the list of active topics, and is more likely to be noticed when members log in, particularly if they read via the "show unread posts since last visit" button.
Hope that helps,
Sue

Woh! and here was me thinking that it meant that the recipe ingredients had been changed in some way to add to it's attraction. :o
