So.......Sunday started with an early morning twirling and spinning workout for Thermie as MrsRC2B and I were awake at daft o'clock. Not sure exactly why but I have a sneaking suspicion that acclimatisation is taking slightly longer than one would have hoped!
Anyway by way of an update I thought I would supply some details of the TMX Sunday morning workout regime.
Smoothie for starters. Nice and easy one this completely freestyled and pretty much ended the discussion between MrsRC2B and I about the merits of a NutriBullet as well as TMX. I wanted one but I am sort of a bit to analytical for my own good sometimes and do lots of testing and homework before buying anything.....unless it is really expensive like a car or house and then I just dive in and normally get it wrong
Handful of Blueberries thrown in the bottom of Thermie
Handful of strawberries
1 x Orange
Huge slice of water melon (smaller chunks for TMX)
1 x huge ice cube
remainder of organic natural yoghurt with vanilla pods - probably ended up being about 3 large tablespoons worth
All of the ingredients into the TMX, lid on....- Check.
Measuring cup in place - Check
Measuring cup really in place - Double Check
Speed LOTS for as long as you want...........
Sit back on sun drenched balcony and enjoy the amazing views of Brisbane CBD - You Aussies really do have a very beautiful city in Brisbane!
It would appear as though I have made a bit of a rod for my own back with this however as MrsRC2B has suggested that these would be the 'perfect' start to everyday
So - smoothies over we decided to get on with making some more bread. MrsRC2B is a fond baker and has a thing for dough in general, she is loving the TMX and I am enjoying the whole learning together thing so....what the hell....more bread it is!
We used the recipe from this forum that is titled 'my go to bread / rolls / scrolls' this time rather than following the one we used on the sausage rolls (pigs in blankets) post. MrsRC2B was keen to try something else.
The scrolls were a mixture as we did two small(ish) batches. The first was the result of me messing around again with the TMX. We decided to make a sort of homemade pesto. Loosely and probably in name only!
Stuffed green olives (with parmesan)
Sun dried Tomatoes
Garlic (lots of)
1 x red onion
Rosemary sprigs
Basil
All in together then blitzed until there is just a fragrant mess all up the sides of the TMX bowl. I have got to say that this smelled divine. We were thinking that this would make a good pizza base if nothing else but we decided to stick to the scrolls option and save the pizza for another time.
The second set of scrolls were just the normal tried and tested veggie mite and cheese - nothing new here other than the veggie mite was seemingly applied with a trowel and there was a need to purchase more cheese as the block we had, had either all been used or we have a mouse issue.....it would appear it was the former!
Whilst all of those were proving MrsRC2B was busy doing the necessary for the orange and cranberry loaf. All of the pictures should be self explanatory and I can assure you the kitchen in our apartment, thus the whole apartment smelt absolutely fantastic on Sunday morning.
MrsRC2B are so convinced by TMX that I have been contacted by a group leader for a demonstration of a TM5 and maybe even a chat about becoming a demonstrator myself / ourselves (the pair of us) once things are more settled for us. Well, we are going to have to do something to get through the 12.5Kg of flour that we purchased from Costco on Sunday afternoon..........
As an aside, did anyone else get to see the amazing natural light show that was the storm yesterday afternoon? I don't think I have seen quite so much lightening. You guys (and girls) certainly do Thunder and Lightening better than we do back in Blighty.
