Hello everyone, I'm Jenny and I'm a new Thermie enthusiast.  Santa came early and bought me a TM5.  It's been out of it's box for 2 days and made truffles (3 sorts), fudge and mashed potato :)

Next up was a dessert that requires chopped marshmallows - bomp bom, FAIL.  I just want to chop my marshmallows into smaller pieces, not obliterate an entire package in a single hit like I did yesterday.  Suggestions please.

Looking forward to cooking something else tonight

J

Hi Jenny, welcome to the forum. I found a recipe which uses marshmallows but it was chopped with apricots which probably helped with the chopping. http://www.mumstakefive.com/index.php/inthekitchen/thermomix-recipes/199-no-bake-apricot-and-marshamallow-slice-thermomix-recipe.  I'm not sure the marshmallows can be chopped on their own successfully.

Welcome to the forum Jenny.
I'm afraid I have never chopped marshmallows in the TM.There are some foods that aren't chopped successfully in the TM..
I hope you have fun finding and cooking recipes in your new TM :)

Hello Jenny and welcome. Marshmallows are gooey enough to chop anyway. I don't think the thermomix would do them very well. I use a slightly oiled pair of scissors.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Welcome to the Forum, Jenny.
I have never tried to chop Marshmellows either.  Would probably mix them with something else from recipe and give them 1 or 2 seconds.

Hi Jenny and welcome to the forum. :)
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
