That's good to hear, SB.
I'm with you, chookie, I'd rather a second bowl and blade set. I'm fine now as I still have my 31, but when I pass it on to DIL to be, I'll really miss it!

I'm really missing not having a second bowl for my TM5. I recently phoned UK HO to ask if there is any news on delivery and was told it will be a few more months yet.Had a lovely conservation with a young man there who was very helpful.

Me too, CC. I've given my TM31 to my gorgeous DIL who is actually cooking now! My son used to do most of the cooking, now she's experimenting and loving the TM.
So many times, I wish I had that second bowl!

I would and almost trade the TM5 for a 31. I cannot stand the delay. I cannot imagine a chef buying for a professional kitchen.
In my experience it is not nearly as useful,in my kitchen as the 31 was.

Not Kranky Old Gert you have an extremely valid point. It drives me loopy.

Me also. I considered giving my DD the 5 and keeping the 31. Didn't though.

The delay doesn't worry me. I just make sure I have something else to do in that few seconds. Wipe up spills, put things away etc.
My Recipe Chip stopped communicating recently and my consultant is getting me a new one.

I read on the UK Thermomix Facebook page that they had received a limited stock of 2nd TM5 bowls. Yahoo!!! And the good news is that I will receive mine early next week because I paid for it last September.

That's great news, CC. It's as well you weren't in a rush for it!

Great news CC. I am making a Pineapple Boiled Fruit cake in my 5. I want to make bread but have to wait for the mixture in the bowl to cool down before adding eggs and flour. grrrrr.

It's at times like that I enjoy the two machines.
