I just have to share my good news, I went to see my doctor yesterday because I was experiencing faint/dizzy spells. He has promptly taken me off high blood pressure medication because the Paleo diet has reduced it to normal. I am working on other health issues now.

Well done DD, I wish I could find the discipline.  I go well for a week or two and then fall off the wagon.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes.  I am still firmly Paleo and the weight is still slowly coming off. My doctor is planning to test me for my Diabetes at Christmas. He says that if he finds me normal he will be convinced about Paleo as then it would prove itself in addition to the now normal blood pressure. I am working on it because those Metformin tablets they give us for Diabetes are so big to swallow. It would be a great Christmas present. :P

A year has gone by since I posted about the Paleo diet and it's good effect on my high blood pressure.  I was so pleased to be taken off the medication. I lost 3 stone which I was very happy about and then my doctor told me that my Diabetic medication could be stopped too. Over this past 10 months, I have slowly and badly cheated and come back to normal Thermomix diet and lo and behold my blood pressure came back just a little and the doctor still sends me for diabetic checkups without medication and I have put 10lb back on. Well I am declaring that Paleo worked for me before and I am back on it again. I hope to be back on track by 2017! I wish Thermomix would bring out their own book on Paleo with chip but I have quite a collection of Paleo recipes.

DD it's obvious that the Paleo diet worked for you. Good luck with going back on it.
