What is this little black seed?
« on: February 12, 2016, 11:09:52 am »
DD was out at dinner the other night at a Paleo restaurant. She enjoyed her meal but is very curious as to what the little black or grey seeds were in her main meal. She said they weren't Nigella seeds or black sesame seeds. Can anyone recognise them please?

I'll have a guess - linseed or flaxseed?

They look like black onion seeds to me (but I think they are the same as Nigella seeds aren't they?  And these have already been ruled out)

Thanks everyone. We got some chia seed out and had a very good look at them and have decided they are probably chia seeds.

Definitely. I would send you a Freddo but it would probably melt in this weather, so it has to be a virtual one.
Enjoy... This one has no calories either!
