Judydawn,

The demo was at my house - rounded up 4mates and got fed without having to do a thing - although i did make the custard at the end of the night (sooo easy).

I think like most people it will reignite my love of cooking - and make it easier and quicker which is always a bonus!!!

Welcome Kristie.
Broome is lovely.  You are getting your TMX just in time for the wet season, you will be able to make mango sorbets all the time.
We used to live in Broome in the 1970's, before it was developed. Have friends who taught there for many years too.
We still visit fairly regularly too.

Thanks Cookie1. We really love it here.

I was thinking mango and coconut sorbet - there is an abundance of each wherever we turn pretty much. It's going to be lovely!!  ;D

..........and me jealous. The house we lived in was next to the school in Weld St.  It's no longer there as Lord McAlpine bought it and shifted it as it was an original Broome house. (then read as : very old and full of cockroaches). We had heaps of coconut palms in the school yard and 3 beautiful mango trees in the yard of the house. I really developed a taste for mangoes up there and now we live down here it has become an expensive taste. We used to get some freighted down from ................market garden out of town but the parents have now shifted. Our local greengrocer often has them out by the tray so that's not bad.
Will you be in Broome during the wet Kristie?   How long have you lived up there.

I used to work in Weld St Cookie1. Still work at the same place but it's moved out to McDaniel Rd/Archer St and I'm currently on maternity leave from there. I go crazy for the mangoes too. We've been here for 4.5yrs now. Came up for a long weekend and decided to stay.

We'd been visiting Broome since 1990 and always loved it. Yep, will be here through the wet season. I'm pretty used to it now - not to say it doesn't still take my breath away at times. See attached pic of my daughter enjoying her 2nd b'day Broome style.

Well, the TMX arrived today and I LOVE IT!! Yep - it's wonderful and I've barely worked out what it does yet. I made an orange sorbet for my first try and my hubby and I were both impressed. Will be making blueberry pancakes for brekky once I have tracked down a recipe.

Can't wait to chat to you all and share more ideas!! ;D :D ;D

Good for you Kristie, I am so glad you will have a TM whilst your children are young so they will be used to good food. 21 years ago I used a Miele to grind up the food that I cooked rather than buy jars of baby food, and my kids are fortunately very healthy with no weight problems, no fussy food eating issues,  and love eating good wholesome food. The main priority throughout both my husband an myselfs truly married bliss (TMB - into the acromyns!) is good food, and since buying the TM especially the family have become even more "fussy eaters" and protest at commercial biscuits and takeaway food. I think that from eating the wholesome food from Day 1 they have also been blessed with good health. (The problem with making good food your No. 1 priority is that you become a very hard critic when you take a night off as you can always have a cheaper and if not better meal at home!) sa la vie  ;D

Oh she is lovely. We used to ride our motorbikes down Cable Beach in the wet. I haven't been back for about 18 months, I'm getting Broome sick.
 :( :( :(
Have fun with your TMX Kristie.
