Hi I'm Lisa, from Toowoomba

I have spent ages reading lots of threads on this great forum and had TMX demo on Sunday. I was keen to buy it before the demo, but actually after the demo I decided against it.

However i came back to this forum and the thread on taste and convinced myself i do need one and hence have ordered one. So just now in the waiting mode for it to arrive.

I'm looking forward to getting it in time to make some christmas goodies.

Welcome LisaR12. May I ask why you initially decided against the purchase of the TMX? I'm glad you changed your  mind, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I think that's 4 in Toowoomba now, unless there are others who haven't specifically said.  Hope you really enjoy your TMX when you get it.

Sure no problem Cookie, I must admit i was surprised myself that I decided I didn't need the TMX after all. Which is strange for  when I phoned up and booked the demo I told the consultant i actually wanted to buy one but felt i should have the demo just to show my husband.

i think there was a few reasons, probably because i had done so much research beforehand i knew what to expect. So there wasn't a wow factor.

I think the demo I had was really directed towards people who buy alot of prepackage products unfortunately neither myself or the others that attend do that, we are all very used to making sauces and bread from scratch so there needed to be something more.

to find the more i came back from the forums...like this one... such as the ease of peeling garlic, making rice flour, chutney making. Things that let me make more stuff but for very little effort

Cathy.. yes it's great to see some toowoomba people on here, I know my friends are very interested and are already planning to come and visit when the TMX arrive,

Yay! I'm very close to Toowoomba and am doing a couple of demo's this weekend for family there. Be sure to visit the the 'Poll' thread about where you come from and get another one for QLD!!

Thanks Lisa for that info. Over here the use of the TMX is more toward making everything from scratch so that you know what goes into it.

Toowoomba will be able to have a TMX party now with so many owners.

Welcome Lisa - good to see you decided to buy.  It seems that there may need to be better training for consultants - maybe even a questionnaire to be sent out to ask what people want from the machine.  I have a friend who organised 2 or 3 demos and the consultant was pitching at the wrong level - they weren't interested in saving money but saving time and creating interesting food.

The groups got bored stiff - but had already decided to buy - so the consultant would have been happy.

Have fun - looks like you have lots of TMX neighbours.

I agree Thermomixer and I think clever consultants would do a little background investigating to find out what the people coming to their demo would be interested in hearing about.  For example if there are any vegetarians, people with allergies, gourmet cooks, athletes, preservative-free people, people wanting to save money etc.

My friend who is a consultant seems to do that. She always seems to chat to people quite a lot before they have a demo. She is always willing to make things that they request and although she has been doing it for just over the 60 days she has sold 8 or 9.
That approach is certainly working for her. She is lovely and is naturally like that too.

Seems to be an inundation from darling downs heehee. Sorry it wasn't the best. I agree that consultants do need to suss out their Market prior to the demo. Also, Parmesan and White wine are essential in risotto!

Glad you're still getting one. I'm getting the hang of cooking from scratch and enjoying it immensely!  Looking into bulk stuff and coops at the moment.
