Oh good for you Spinnerama. You are more then welcome to stop at my place, when you are on/from your way to Montreal or Quebec. I live 70 miles south of Toronto 10 min from the 401. You can get the Indian cookbook from the Nobelhaus as well. I have it and I like it, but haven't tried anything  :-)) yet. Thermomixer posted some very good indian recipes in this forum.

Thanks for the description of gumbo. I knew it came from New Orleans and had a vague idea of it, but now I really know.
I have the Indian cookbook and so far have loved each thing we have made from it.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Once again, thanks to y'all (that's what they say in Nawlins) for the help.  I will most certainly get my hands on the Indian cookbook.  I also noted on the Oz website that there are a number of TM books available there.  Anyone know how I can order any of those?

Hi Spinnerama and Welcome!

I'm based in Canada and highly recommend the Aussie "Thermomix cooking Bible" called "Everyday Cooking for Every Family" and you should be able to order this from either of the two Canadian distributors: Noblehaus and Fantan. As Tebasile suggests, the new book called "My Way of Cooking" is EXCELLENT. I saw a preview copy some time ago but haven't got one in my kitchen yet. Very much looking forward to that.

Also recommend that you watch some videos if you haven't already.
The best and most helpful english-language videos are all on the blog at:
