Name of Recipe: Apricot and Almond Health Chews Ingredients:1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tbsps honey
1/2 cup skim milk powder
1/4 cup whole almonds chopped roughly
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/2 cup sultanas or currants
1/4 cup coconut
extra raw toasted coconut
Preparation:Place apricots, orange juice and honey in TM bowl and cook for 12 minutes at 80°C on speed
or until apricots are tender.
Add skim milk powder, almonds, sesame seeds, grated orange rind, sultanas and coconut. Mix for 30 seconds on
+ speed 3 or 4 until well blended. Remove to a bowl and leave to cool slightly.
Roll mixture into a log shape and roll in toasted coconut. Roll up in foil and keep in refrigerator.
Cut into slices and store in a jar or wrap each individual piece in foil and different coloured cellophane and present as a gift which will be enjoyed immensely.
