Yes, cheers to all our friends everywhere and hopefully you are all safe and damage free wherever you live. With the frequency of these storms increasing, it makes you wonder which area is going to be next.

We had rain, thunder and lightening here in Albany WA but Perth was hit worse and I know my daughters modem got fried so maybe some people might not have internet at the moment, hopefully we will hear from them soon. :)

We here are all ok in this house - which is a change as here where we are in commonly known as tornado alley as we regularly get mini tornado's rip through here in the winter causing destruction like the rest of Perth has suffered. Gladly not the case for our area here this time but really feeling for the rest of them. I do know that  Alina0210 has only just got her power back on after being with out for 39 hours!!!  :o :o :o

We faired pretty well. Thanks for your thoughts. We were without power for 14 or so hours but we cheated and ran our generator in 2 hour bursts during daylight for the fridge and freezer. The wind etc was quite terrifying though. A friend who has a little Getz (car) and really copped the hail on it has been told that it will be written off.  She is devastated as her car isn't that old and she won't be able to replace it for the money she gets. It was at WA uni and really copped the hail. It took her 2 1/2 hours to travel home-a distance of about 7km.

May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

We didn't get all the wind and hail, but thankfully, got the rain! We had 30mm out at the farm, a real saving grace.
Our town had been on water restrictions, so people had to restrict the amount of water they could cart to their farms for stock and domestic use.
Since the rain, the Water Corp has removed the restrictions. It's been so dry that our beautiful Liquid Amber has dropped most of it's leaves before they turned their gorgeous autumn colours.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

We got the hail and the rain and the wild wind...thankfully both our cars were in the garage!  We have a few leaks in the house but that happens with the heavy rain anyway....must get round to fixing the roof!!!

Anyway ive got a video of the hail in our garden on you tube for those who would like to experience it!!  I forgot to turn the camera on at the height of the storm so this is the milder bit!!
