Can anyone tell me how much the quantity is when you make the jam recipe in the EDC book? Thank you!

One big jar with a little left over.
Sorry hope someone is more help, I have a few jam jars but no idea what size they are (quite big though, maybe large olive jars?) and there is always a little extra I put in small tupperware container.
Guessing two regular jam jar type sized jars?

I get 2 Cottees jam jars exactly. Not sure how many grams they are though cos I'm not home at the moment. Hope that helps.
I actually just use 500g strawberries and 500g csr jam sugar. Seems to work well for me.

Thanks for that, I have three small jars so I'm glad that will fit. Hools, what's different about the CSR jam sugar?

Lucy think it contains the pectin.

Yes, it just means that you don't have to add jamsetta if you use that. It's already in with the sugar.

i made plum jam today with a few strawbs and blueberries too. so easy and tasted lovely warm, will try tomorrow cold.

made over 3 jars full...now i'm worried as i started looking up how long it would last and see you have to sterilise jars not just wash them out - why is this and what impact will mine not being sterilised have?

Sterilising stops mould and bugs from growing. If you keep your jam in the fridge and eat it fairly soon it should be ok.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
