Global finger-crossing, please!
« on: April 30, 2010, 12:58:26 pm »
I went for an interview yesterday at a vocational college which I'd like to transfer to from Summer 2011. The head teachers and staff are really friendly and I'd love to get a job there because they have cooks, pastry makers, hotel and restaurant staff, etc. But what really makes me want to go there is the fact that they have two thermomixes in the kitchen. It's got to be a good school then, hasn't it :D? Maybe I can cadge off some excellent TMX recipes from the cookery teachers. So everyone, please do some serious finger-crossing for me ;)

Fingers and toes duly crossed! Just think positive and 'see' yourself there. That always works for me. I find if it's difficult for me to visualise myself doing the thing I want or having the thing I want, then it's not meant to be!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Yupp, visualisation always works for me too! Somehow everything then falls into place, almost as if by magic. I won't know until April 2011 if I can start there (complicated decision making process) but I'll just keep thinking positive thoughts ;)

what a long 12 month wait. Very hard to say focused on the visualisation  and keeping my fingers crossed for that length of time without some deformity occurring but here goes...

Wow, thanks for all the finger and toe crossing! Yes, it's a long time to wait but I've decided to do some lesson planning (just in case I get the job) to bridge the waiting gap ;)
