Re-usable sandwich/snack bags/wraps?
« on: March 29, 2014, 12:59:03 am »
Anyone use them?
and wondering what they would be like at keeping the food fresh?

ATM I use containers but a few containers in the schoolbag makes it pretty heavy  :(

TIA  :)

I use a go green lunch box so no   packaging or containers. I have used them for snacks when the kids were young and they were fine. Just chucked them in the wash.

I just use heaps of plastic containers.  didn't now you could get reusable ones.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

Aren't the regular zip lock bags reusable?
I always told my children to bring them home and I would wash them and send them off the next day. Could usually get 3 days out of them.

I never re used mine. I bought the cheapest sandwich bags I could and threw them out after use. But then I only had one lunch box to do.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Astarra, I have been using these sandwich wraps for at least 2 years. The boys started using them in kinder and have not lost them yet. No one has complained about stale sandwiches or scrolls, however I do make sandwiches the night before with frozen bread and pop in ref until morning. They wipe clean really easy too.

I bought my DD some for her 2 a couple of years ago.  She is still using them.  Their school is a no plastic school.

That is the sort of thing I was thinking of Kimmy, thanx  :-*
I make the lunches the night before and put them in the fridge too.  :)  Do you put the sandwich in the wrap the night before too?

I don't like the idea of the normal bags being plastic, bit weird when I use plastic containers but yeah.  :-)) :o ???

I have ordered the fruit and veg bags. I have been slack lately in taking my own bags to supermarket and vege shop. They look good, $2.00 each  very light as only 1.85 postage for the 5.
Modified my post, bagels to the shop!

We use ones very similar to the ones that KimmyH uses, but a different brand.

Our oldest son is using them for his 3rd year, and youngest takes them to kindy.  They work great.
