I like the sound of that ice-cream Chookie, guess you could add some fruit to it if you wanted?

As cookie1 suggested - frozen bananas tend to produce a great texture.  There is a recipe with mascarpone and frozen bananas here from Chuck Banana Ice Cream & I thought it was fairly good

Just to share (more than a little late) my icecream recipe. I make thermy condensed milk from a recipe on the forum http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2347.0 - 6 cups milk to 4.5 cups raw sugar and I store it in 300ml cream containers. I use 1 container of condensed milk to 600ml cream.
Whip the cream til very stiff and just before it starts to yellow into butter, then add the condensed milk and a splash of vanilla. Scrape down the sides and butterfly until smooth and creamy. Freeze and serve.

That is a lovely icecream recipe Mrs Twinn.

I can't go past the EDC ice cream recipe as is. Always so delicious and I don't whip it up anymore than the recipe states-texture great. I use raw sugar if making vanilla with vanilla bean (found rapadura flavour too dominant) but use rapadura when making the chocolate version with cocoa and it's fantastic.
