Arabian Nights Fun
« on: July 04, 2010, 04:00:56 pm »
As you can see by my new avatar, I've joined a harem.  ;D

No, not really. I was the coordinator for an Variety Night event in our town. All the clubs put on an act and the organising committee does an opening act. The theme this year was Arabian Nights.

I was singing "Arabian Nights" from Aladdin in the photo. We did a dance just before that and then Prince Ali entered wheeling his wooden camel. It was fantastic. Loads of work, that's why I haven't been on here much lately. Very little cooking happening too....

Can't wait to get back into it!!

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Well done. You will have to sing for us at the next get together.

 ;D I don't think so!!

I've had enough singing for a while. I also organised the Red Hatters Act. We performed Pink's "Get the Party Started".

Thanks for the explanation MJ.  I thought it must have been you but couldn't see the resemblance.  Sounds like you had fun, what a boring life I lead  :D :D

Yup! Its was freezing in the hall, so most of us wore black leggings and long sleeved tops underneath our costumes though!
