Body Basics Recipes - A Taste of Vegetarian

Just want to warn everyone to be aware that none of these finished products (other than bath soak and bombs) should be kept longer than a few days. They are not properly preserved.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

That's a pity.

Also the Fizzing Bath Bombs recipe needs tweaking. Both the newsletter and the recipe in the book state 2 tsp, which isn't nearly enough. I ended up using about 4 tablespoons, but now that they're set, I think more added would have given a better result and these finished up being VERY crumbly.  >:(

Mine went into heart shaped ice cube trays to go into the Christmas Hampers.

Was just reading this review as I was considering making the bath bombs to put in Christmas hampers this year. ILB, what is the 2 tsps you are referring to that you think needs to be increased to 4?

She would mean the almond oil RoxyS.

A friend suggested adding coconut oil. Could you use that as well as the almond oil or instead of it do you think?

Coconut Oil would be fine. For good B & B recipes, try here. I've linked to the Bath Bomb page, but there's loads of others here.

Thanks Meganjane. Do you have any recommendations from the linked pages you gave - particularly the bath bomb type things.

My bath bombs worked out okay. I did use a bit of coconut oil as well as the almond oil. They took a while to dry out but only one is crumbly. So quite happy with the results from the Vegetarian Cookbook Bath Bombs - with the tweak that ILB suggested.

Sorry, no particular recommendations. Anne Marie's recipes are all good.
