I've had my Thermomix for just over two weeks now and LOVE IT! Friends adore it too but just can't afford the price tag . . . I have a fussy 10 year old who doesn't eat meat and dislikes anything in sauce. I also have an eight year old that loves meat and isn't so keen on veggies. Pizza dough is a hit. Milkshakes, lasagne, steamed veggies too. Joined up here to get some recipe inspiration - exhausted the cook book possibilities. Looking forward to school holidays when I have more time to experiment. Think the support and service by Thermomix consultants is fab. Hopefully this wonderful machine will be at the top of every wedding gift wish list

Welcome aboard!! So glad to hear you have had good service. You'll love how you can "hide" vegies in the most unexpected places for the fussy eaters. My sister just got a TMX as a joint pressy from everyone who came to her engagment party - such a good idea for starting out. Love hear more posts from you.

Hi Verity, welcome to the forum. Yes, the wishing well has seemed to have taken over from the wedding registry list in stores but is a great idea. Back when I first got married in 1965, all I got was striped towels and casserole dishes - how things have changed
It must be so hard feeding kids (or adults too for that matter) who won't eat anything with sauce on it - I tear my hair out everytime I have one couple to a meal because he just likes plain food. At least you can hide vegies in things for the non-vegie lover but it is pretty hard to hid meat. A meat smoothie, I think not. Good luck in your quest to find different recipes for your children, I'm sure you will here on the forum.

Welcome and hope you find lots of recipes your kids will like.
My older two also never liked things in sauce, they have got better. There is still generally a fair bit of sauce on their plates but dd1 is eating a lot of it. dd2 doesn't even have gravy! (only harder condiments like mustard), dd3 loves sauces though so at least one will lick their plate clean, lol.
I do think they've got even better quicker since having the tmx as the sauces are more full of flavour.
But yeh perseverance pays off, I just give them things in sauce and they now accept it.
The other thing that shocked me was they hated potatoes!! (I love potatoes, and sauce and gravy, lol) Totally threw me for years, but after serving them up for years they now are coming round to my taste, lol. And love wedges and even don't mind mash.

Welcome Verity. You certainly sound as though you have been busy with your TMX. The recipes on here are wonderful and people have often tweaked them in many different ways.
