Hi All
« on: December 09, 2010, 01:14:36 am »
Hi All,
I am very excited to have found this site and beside myself with excitement awaiting my thermomix, next week can't get here fast enough.  I first saw it in action about six months ago when a friend held a demo and loved it then and there!!!  I had heard about this miracle machine but really couldn't imagine how it could do all this stuff so was very impressed that day and had to have one.  The timing wasn't good with renovations in full swing and the $$$$ pouring out the door hence the long wait (long to me anyway).
I love to cook and my only hesitation has been that I would be restricted to following the TM recipe books but you all have shown me that is not the case so I hope to one day be contributing but in the meantime look forward to trying all your great ideas while I get to know my TM.
I guess on the most part I am really excited about being able to use whole foods as I am a Mum of a two year old and I like to know what is going into his little body.  I know I will do things that I wouldn't otherwise have time for like bread, and I am hoping that my husband who is somewhat challenged in the kitchen may come to have one or two as he puts it "signature dishes" when he sees how easy it is.  Anyway thank you for the warm welcome to this site the first I have ever joined and look forward to getting to know you all.
Renee

Hi Renee, welcome to the forum.  Sounds like you have know what you wanted for some time and that time has finally arrived. You will have a great time with your machine and it's nice to see you have been browsing the forum to get a feel of it too.  Great recipes on here and some of the later recipe books are really good too. Look forward to seeing what type of recipes you are going to post for us once you get the hang of converting your favourite recipes.

Welcome Renee. Once you really get used to TMX cooking you will find you can adapt most things.

Welcome maximoomoo21 - its great timing at your toddlers stage in life to be using a TM and you will find it a very easy, healthy way of cooking. We hope you find this forum helpful and inspiring. We also look forward to trying out any converted recipes once you settle in  :)

Welcome to the forum - I have 3 boys aged 9, 6 and 2 1/2 and am fortunate in that they already have a love of home cooked food.  Children love machines and they are also interested in what goes on in the kitchen.

I've already noticed a dramatic reduction in our processed food consumption and we've only had it a few weeks!
