Looking for easily transportable, kids' party recipes
« on: February 06, 2011, 07:48:21 am »
Hi everyone,

In a few week's time we are holding my son's eighth birthday party at a climbing park in a state forest. We need to bring everything from home, and take it all with us when we leave. There are no BBQs there and you're not allowed to bring anything in, either.

Would you mind sharing with me any TM recipes you think might be suitable? Everything has to be pre-prepared and transported in tupperware containers to the site.

Thanks for you ideas!

Kath  :)

That sounds like great fun! You mentioned not being able to use a BBQ.  Is it a meal or just snacky food you are wanting to prepare?  Savoury and sweet recipes?  :)

what about the healthy treat balls? quirky cooking has some on her blog and there is one in the EDC - you could do them well ahead and freeze them too

We're just providing morning tea. Probably sweets for the children and some savories for the parents who hang around.

This is where we're going if anyone is interested. It is a fantastic family activity, and very reasonably priced.

This place looks great! Shame it's not closer to Melbourne though.
