Have I posted a 'hello' yet?
« on: March 30, 2011, 09:30:38 am »
Just in case I haven't ... Hi!

My name is Morte and I got my Thermomix three days ago. As expected, I LOVE it! It's had a good workout each day so far.

I've made my stock paste, bread, cake, chicken croquettes, custard, gravy, sorbet, fig jam ... And more bread will be mixing tonight (to rise in the fridge and get baked in the morning).

I'm in Melbourne, Australia. Cooking happily for my family. Nice to meet you all!

No, you hadn't said hello Morte but now you have :D :D  Hi to you too and welcome to the forum.  You sound as if you are going great guns there - I love how some people just plough right on in as if they have had their machine for ages.  Enjoy your TMX and our forum too.

Hi Morte and welcome!! Congrats on getting stuck straight in  :D

You know Judy I wonder if this forum has a lot to do with it. I know if it was around when I started I would have got going a lot quicker than I did. I was even to scared to say boo on this forum and just watched Thermomixer and Brazen talk to themselves LITERALLY!

I have no doubt you are right there Kathryn, my life changed completely when I found this forum.  Karen & Jeff must have wondered if anyone was ever going to join them - how we have grown since those early days.

Welcome Morte. You and your TMX seem to have become good friends already. Congratulations.

Thank you, everyone, for the lovely welcomes.

Yep, I'm hooked on Ms Thermie (see, it even has a nickname) and couldn't live without it now.

I'm just wishing I hadn't done a cupboard clean out the week before first seeing the demo, as I got rid of my old jar cache and am now scratching for jars for jam :( Oh well, they'll collect again in time :)

On with the cooking!
